After reading the two articles, I found it difficult to convince myself if the actions the ceremony organizers took were justifiable.
It all started when the global television audience realized that of the series of giant footprints outlined in fireworks proceeded through the night sky from Tiananmen Square to the Bird's Nest stadium, some were actually prerecorded, digitally enhanced and computer animated.
That piece of shocking news was followed by another. Nine year old Lin Miaoke who shocked millions with her singing was actually lip-synching "Ode to the Motherland" by seven year old Yang Peiyi.
I believe that the reason for having a last minute swap to match one girl's face with another's voice was to ensure that the child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feelings and expression. I think Lin Miaoke has all those aspects covered, but we should never forget about the seven year old who sang behind the scenes.
The same goes for the spectecular fireworks. To say that we were surprised would be an understatement. Stunned viewers, not to mention myself, thought they were watching the string of fireworks filmed from above by a helicopter. However in reality we were watching a 3D graphics sequence that took almost a year to produce. It even included a 'camera shake' to mimic the effect of filming from a helicopter.
It is evident that with these two incidents China is extremely eager to present a flawless Olympics image to the world, and the country's quest for perfection apparently includes its children. If the ceremony organizers’ main objective was to present China in the best way possible, I would say that they have succeeded admirably. However, even though they have done their job well, I am not sure if they have done it right.
It is definitely understandable that organizers would prefer the girl who has the looks, looks good on screen and has a good grasp of the song to perform, but what about the actual singer? I can imagine how Yang’s parents would feel when the organizers told them at the last minute that their child could not perform because she was not good-looking enough, even though she was extremely capable.
Many people would argue that many singers lip synch, and this was the case at the 2002 Opening Ceremonies of the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, when the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir lip synched. However I believed that they were lip synching their own songs and singing, and they had to do so as they would not be able to perform at their best in the cold night air, and not because of their looks.
Therefore in my opinion I believe it is unfair to the seven year old girl, who was not given the credit for her outstanding voice. Furthermore, even though on the whole the ceremony was a spectacular event, it led us into believing it is grander than it actually is.
To conclude, I appreciate the fact that China is definitely trying to put its best foot forward, but a little skeptical as to why they have to lie about it.

KU LI: UMNO IS HERE TO STAY

During the period of the Malaysian general elections, I noticed that many around me seemed caught up in the events unfolding in Singapore's neighbour. The severity of the Barisan National’s defeat exceeded everybody’s expectations, let alone those of Malaysians’. I guess even the opposition parties were surprised by their own success.

I feel that UMNO needs new ideas as there has been a serious erosion of confidence in the style of leadership since the general election. Perhaps many people are unhappy with the agenda that the UMNO has always been focusing on, shadowy power play and a strong Malay agenda. I strongly believe that widespread dissatisfaction among the Chinese and Indian minorities of Malaysia had been noted in the run-up to the polls. These communities had been upset for years by the way race-based affirmative action policies had been sidelining them in government contracts, university places and job opportunities.

However, after reading this article, the question that surfaces would be: Would the same situation happen to Singapore?

Many people would say it is debatable if there are parallels in Singapore's politics with the racial and religious anger so prominent in this Malaysian election. This is unlikely in my opinion; although it is not true to say that there are no persistent grumblings among Singaporeans about marginalization, both intentional and unintentional.

Nevertheless, the difference is that in Singapore, is no political organisation that can articulate these grievances or grumblings. Somehow I believe this is due to the law and the nature of Singaporeans. The undeniable result is that in the short and intermediate term, race politics will not factor significantly in Singapore's political trends, certainly not to the same extent as to what has happened in Malaysia.

Another question that popped into my head was: what would happen to the non-Malay minorities with their conflicting interests with the Malays?

The change in the results for the elections definitely came from a large segment of people who have opened their minds and are willing to take the risk for a change. However, this would definitely not go well with the Malays, since most of them would probably favour UMNO’s style of a strong Malay agenda. The Malays might feel that the non-Malays do not share the same vision as them and are trying to oppose them, and this might bring the whole situation into a whole new cycle of marginalization.

Kelantan’s prince Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah’s agenda for UMNO is to shed its u;tra-Malay image for a democratic and multiracial outlook, which will definitely appease the dissatisfactions in the minority racial groups, but might not please the Malays, which has been supporting UMNO’s agenda for half a century. In my opinion, it is definitely not easy for someone to take to risk for a change, changing the image of the government which has been around for more than fifty years.

Overall, I feel that this serves as a lesson learnt for UMNO, to take into consideration every single racial group’s point of view.

Synopsis: This article basically voice out the perspectives of teenagers on alcohol and drug abuse, with many insisting that it is not such a big issue. Some says that they just wanted to try out, out of curiosity. This article also shares students’ experiences in underage drinking and smoking, and how others have managed to abstain from drug and alcohol abuse.

I was completely shocked at the comments and perspectives that these teenagers give regarding issues with alcohol, smoking and drugs. Even though I have seen teenagers abusing alcohol and drugs at the void decks pretty often, I have never thought through as to why they do so.

In my opinion, what the society must face several questions. Why do these teenagers drink and smoke, what are the causes, what are the implications, and what are the solutions?

The implications can be very severe. Alcohol, cigarettes and drugs are detrimental to health, endangering the lives of the teenagers and even the lives of others. They will lose control of their own emotions and might turn to stealing. They will face serious consequences if caught, especially with repeated abuse.

Teenagers abusing drugs, alcohol and smoking can be influenced by the media, such as television and movies. Their parents’ attitude towards drinking and smoking also determines the attitudes of their children.

Hence, these teenagers do not see drugs and alcohol as something new, probably due to these few causes. What’s appalling to me is the fact that they do not see the reason why the government makes such a big fuss over the abuse of alcohol and drugs, mainly because they are not aware of the implications.

I believe there are many reasons why teenagers turn to drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. Witnessing family conflicts or family violence and other personal problems at home can make them feel rejected and lonely. A loved one passing away can also make them distraught and at a loss, turning to alcohol and drugs to alleviate their sorrows. Lack of parental support, monitoring and communication is probably also related to cases of drinking and smoking. Academic failure in school can be one of the causes, especially when the teenager takes his academic results too seriously.

However, I believe the main factor is peer pressure. The teenagers in our society are lured into trying out alcohol and drugs for the first time to see how it tastes or feels like, out of curiosity. Unfortunately, after their first few tries, they are addicted to the drugs, and no longer see them as a big deal. This can be seen when the press interviews some teenagers, and a few of them admits to drinking and smoking, yet brush off the incident, thinking that its not a big deal.

In my opinion, the only solution to drug abuse is family or individual counseling, to find the underlying reason as to why the teenager takes such a desperate action. Advice and support from a health care professional also is also an effective way of combating his addictive behavior.
Even though these teenagers have their own reasons for turning to drugs and we should empathize with them, I think there are no valid reasons to turn to drugs to solve their sorrows or problems, unknowingly endangering their lives in the process.

Hey have not been posting for quite long, and lots of things have heppened. Well firstly, i have got a new blogskin, and many ppl have complained that the font is too light. Well, changing now =)

Not to forget my combined choir concert with String ensemble, which turned out really fun, unfortunately i had forgotten to take any pictures. Oh well....

I have been going out quite a lot these few days, almost everyday to be honest, but the most fun part was going to Terminal 3 with Eng Han. Looks really cool!

Really doesnt look 21st century to me, with all those futuristic looking panels and trims.

The terminal has a state-of-the-art that has 919 (wow, 919!) skylights fitted with an intelligent computer-controlled system of butterfly shpaed reflectors above them. This unique roof is designed to mantain an optimum amount of diffused sunlight into the terminal according to outdoor weather conditions. Wow, so sophisticated.

The UFO-like departure hall. Hmmmm.....

In fact, we only had 2 complains: we were a little disappointed that some parts of the terminal was not finished yet, and that the air conditioning could have been colder. Ok, we are being quite fussy here...

Nevertheless, this is definitely a solid effort from erm... erm.... Singapore (or whoever who designed, built and engineered it), and I am surely looking forward to the finished product next year. Hoping it will become the best airport in the world next year (sorry hongkong =D )!

We saw the airbus A380 as well, and it is huge! In fact I cant describe how big it looks, because you simply wouldnt believe =)

It is really much larger than these photos would otherwise suggest. In fact when other planes pulled up beside it they looked really tiny in comparison. So tiny to the extent that you feel as if you need a binoculars in order to spot them. The A380 was such a head-turner that many tourists tried to go as close to it as possible to take a picture of it. Wow...

Anyway, what's even more interesting is the "class gathering" today. The weather today was more erratic than, well... the weather forecast haha. That coupled with many people falling sick meant that only 6 ppl turned up for the "class gathering". Man... isnt it successful...

Nevertheless, we went to changi airport for lunch, hoping and praying that the rain would stop. But it didnt, so we decided to go to vivocity, where we watched The Golden Compass.

It was really interesting and cool, if not a little abrupt in the ending. Nevertheless i really enjoyed it, and would appreciate a much more succesful class outing in the future. Lol...

Hey have really been busy these days, had choir on some days for almost 8 hours, really tiring but i really do appreciate the SLs for the hard work and patience (esp when teaching me =D ).

Today is much more interesting though. After being at school for choir, i went to Bibi & Baba to get my long pants for my choir concert next Sunday, and only when i got home i realised that my pants were too baggy. Oh well...

Anyway after that, we had buffet dinner at this place called "Sakura". It really have lots of Japanese food around, plus a wide variety of dessert. But the problem came when i finished my food and wanted a nice cup of coffee to settle down...

1st Cup

Went to the coffee machine and saw "hazelnut mocha". Thought it sounds good, hence i pressed it. Took the coffee back to my table, only to realise it taste totally like milo, and not like mocha at all...

2nd Cup

Went to coffee machine again the pressed "hazelnut coffee". Thought it shouldnt be that bad either, so pressed it, but what came out was some diluted stuff, not coffee at all! Maybe the coffee powder had run out...

3rd Cup

Dragged myself to the coffee machine again and got myself what was called "cafe mocha". I though i had finally made a nice cup of coffee, was enjoying it, when suddenly the clip that was playing with dropped into the cup. Drats...

4th Cup

Went to the coffee machine one last time, made myself another cafe mocha, sat down and finally finally managed to relax and enjoy... =)

Anyway apart from that, my aunt lent me this Japanese book as a guide to Tokyo as i will be going there next month.

So that's about it then!

Hey was recently invited to Mr Bernard Chan's wedding, where they sent this expensive looking invitation card to Baoju, Enghan, Peirce and me.

Of course, this actually came as little surprise, as we later found out Serena (his wife) is a banker. Luckily then, as Enghan and i bought quite an expensive present for them =)

We then proceeded with the matrimony, where Mr Chan had to recite this whole paragraph to promise his faithfulness. His tone made us feel as if it was a history lesson (he's a history teacher =D ) and he later complained to us about how nervous he was feeling at first. Oh well...

Then it was lunch with the catered food. The food was really good. Everything was just so delicious, and this made us anticipate what kind of dinner they would provide. Sadly, we were not invited to their wedding dinner, despite much perestering from us. According to him its because the dinner is full already =(

Then the MC of the wedding invited different groups of people for phototaking, and when we were invited up to the stage the MC said "How come you RI boys so quiet? Should cheer for your teacher" Lol we were thinking the other way round when RI boys are expected to not make noise =S

After that Mr Chan's brother came up to us and asked:

"Are you guys Mr Chan's students?"

"Yeap"

"He teaches you guys history?"

"Yup"

"So... Is he strict?"

"Erm... No...!"

Lol i wanted to say "Not even slightly" but that wouldnt be nice. While eating we overheard Mr Chan's friend saying that Mr Chan bought a 42-inch Plasms TV just to play Xbox 360. Wow... must be really rich...

Anyway after our lunch we wanted to leave so we spoke to him

Me: Sir, we are making a move first.

Mr Chan: What so fast?

Me: Yup but we are coming back for the dinner =)

Mr Chan: Haha no larh the dinner is very packed already

Peirce and EngHan: Sir not bad ah, buy a 42-inch plasma TV

Mr Chan: Hey how did you know about that? Anyway you guys can drop by and play if you want. So when will i meet you guys again?

Peirce: Tonight! =D

Mr Chan: Haha no seriously the dinner is full. OK bye guys, next time rememeber to invite me to your wedding k!

Me: Yes, if you invite us to your dinner =)

Mr Chan: Very funny. Bye guys!

Hey, think i wanna blog about the chalet which happened from last Sunday till Thursday. It was really long, and sometimes it was really quite boring, but for the rest it was really exciting. Anyway, here goes:

Sunday

Nothing much really happened. Just checked in at 9 plus at night, so we can just skip that =)

Monday

I rented a bike from a chalet, since i was nearly bored to tears. I then chose the bike which looked the most well-kept, but unfortunately it may looked well-kept but it wasn't. The tires were super hard and of low profile, that coupled with the super stiff suspension meant that the ride was really firm. So firm till the point that you feel your back is going to shatter whenever you ride over a small pebble on the road.

So things weren't really going that well. And it gets worse when you find out that the brakes were so spongy and weak it felt as if they were made from chewing gum. And there were no gears at all. And you cant cruise cause the bike would just shudder. Ok, i could go on forever.

Later in the day my sister's friends came and we then went to the beach. Following that we had bbq where the fire just would not start. Nevertheless, we managed to quite a lot of food and not to forget the bbq marshmallows. The day ended with one of the friends who is called PEIQI staying over.

Tuesday

Nothing much happened cause i was sleeping the whole afternoon, even though even more of my sister's friends came. We just went to changi airport terminal 2 staff canteen for dinner. The fried hokkien mee is delicious k. Our night was rudely disrupted by the arrival of lizards and beetles in our chalet. One of the lizards was actually crawling over our snacks. In fact there were so many of them that my sister and her friend had to sleep outside the corridor, which disturbed my parents' sleep and of course, my sleep =(

Wednesday

Things get much better when EngHan, KaiLun and Gregory came. The 4 of us first rented a bicycle and started to cycle away from the chalet. There we stopped at the East Coast Hawker Centre for lunch, where we had the famous duck rice and sugar cane. It is also important to note that one of the drink stall's sugar cane machine was infested with flies. We immediately walked away and pretended not to notice the shopkeeper =/

After lunch we continued with our cycling and stopped by an enormous sand castle, where a kind lady helped us take a picture.

There we continued when we saw this brickwater by the sea. We decided to rest there since it was sunny, windy and quiet. Then joker KaiLun had nothing better to do and decided to write and "adventurous" letter.

We then continued for a short while and then had to turn back. Partly cause we realised we had already cycled to Fort Road (close to the city area), partly cause "Robinson Crusoe" realised he was sunburnt, but also cause gregory had to leave for his class chalet.

Next up was our second bbq. Sadly there was so much food leftover that even KaiLun couldnt finish. Obviously his favourite were bbq marshmallows when he kept exclaiming "OMG so nice...! OMG..."

After the bbq we took another stroll by the beach to enjoy sunset. And this time we found something quite scary - drugs. Yup, it was hanging by the tree, and it looked like medicine, and we found them in a desolated area of the beach. However we were too scared to report them cause we were afraid that the drug dealers would do something to us... =/

The day ended with EngHan staying over for the night. Chatted and talked about nearly everything till 2am, before we finally called it a day and slept..

Nothing much happened on Thursday, so that mainly concludes the chalet. Well, posting about Mr Chan's wedding next =) Until next time, cya!

Hey, it has been a really long time since i last posted. Anyway i think very few people visit this blog in the first place, so i think this is becoming more of a diary than a blog. But anyway i really want to talk about a few things i have experienced throughout this year. Hoping and praying that prefects do not come across this post.

Well, this year was really tiring. i had so much more commitments compared to last year, more problems, more stress etc. I think i learnt much more this year compared to the last 13 years combined. And honestly, i dont know where to start.

But i think one of the most important is my class. It is the class that gave me lots of problems, i was so sick of it that i felt like gorgin my eyes out. Things got worse when Mr Allan Soo left, when the class became more rowdy due to the new form teacher and a monitor which started to slack more than any other monitors in the history of RI (ok i shall not be so bad here). This left me and eng han completely helpless.

But yet, i really enjoyed it. I really like my class. Oh yes. If not for 2I 07, i would have been a much different person now.

And this reason's really simple. 2I 07 isnt your usual inert class. Not even slightly. I can say that it is one of the craziest and funniest class ever, and even our teachers have told us so. 2I isnt the sort of people which put in their MSN nick "you guys rock" or "i love you guys forever". And it's far from being the best class in terms of academics. It is not even what you'd call "cooperative".

It is the sort of class that prioritize fun over anything else. It has the sort of people that cares for each other, yet we just dont say it . It is the sort of class that shouts, quarrel and fights nearly everyday, but hands are shaken and apologies and said within the next 15 minutes. And i prefer such a class over another that is quiet and smart, but is selfish and uncaring. I would pick 2I anytime, anyday.

Even though you guys may not be reading this post, but i must really thank you guys for all the support, esp during my prefect elections. I really need to thank all those who helped me during the video, helping me to paint my banners or just simply giving encouragement. All those simple speeches such as "Don't worry, i will get all my CCA mates to vote for you" and "Even if you dont get in, you will always remain our treasurer" really mean a lot to me. I didnt really expect all these to come from a class like 2I. Thanks a lot guys. Thank you so, so much.

Let's not forget the teachers. All my 6 core subjects teachers came to talk to me, either to encourage me or to console me. Special mention must go to Ms Goh who told all her Sec 4s to vote. Thanks lot teachers.

Honestly, i really wanted to get into RIPB. I felt very satisfied that i have contributed to the school by being the CEC this year, and i wanted to contribute more by joining the RIPB. I really enjoyed doing non-academic work and contributing to the school, and that's why i set my target on RIPB. However, sadly...

Haha. When i got the results, i got this feeling that i have never felt before. It is not the sort of feeling you get when you ask your parents for a video game, and they rejected it. Neither is it the sort of feeling you get when you get back your test results and you failed. Nope, it's a lot different.

You really do not know how to react to it, it is just the sense of disappointment. You just get the feeling that sometimes life isnt that fair. But i am not meaning that the elects are not deserving of their posts. Nope, i just simply felt disappointed. I was really lost for actions. That night i just lay on my bed and stoned for 3 hours. The thought of working with friends such as Nigel, Gregory, Daron, Gifford, KaiLun, Benjamin etc was gone.

But I have gotten over this. Anyway, congrats to the elects, even though i hope prefects do not read this. Life's gotta move on, there's nothing i can do to change the fact in the first place. Lol...

I am just a bit lost from here, Where do I go? People always say "there lots of leadership opportunities". Yup, but the problem is that i am not exactly the easiest person to get noticed by people (haha), so i'm not sure if i can be the CEC for next year. Futhermore i have just joined Raffles Voices, so i am still trying to catch up, even though i skip sessions due to random things like chalet and admin work.

I'd be more than happy to join those comm that help the RIPB, but i hope that there are more places for me to contribute.

Also i have just realised that i have just posted the longest post ever, and i am quite proud of it. Anyway it's quite late now, so see ya guys!

Hey take a look at my recently updated 350Z. Since i completed Need for Speed Carbon many days ago and have nothing to do, i might as well change the look of my cars. Haha... so here are pictures of my 350Z:

Maybe you cant see 'cause its quite dark, but it's supposed to be quite clear and there are acutally crazy tribal vinyls on the roof, hood and on the doors. The car is supposed to be greay, and then the vinyls are black. Looks better now, or at least in my opinion.

Well, hope to share more of these pictures with you next time. Oh ya, my cousin made this dodge charger that looks almost like the General Lee (from the Dukes of Hazzard). Too bad i dont have the picture. It sure looked real cool. I also bought a plymouth hemicuda and changed its looks. But i dont have the picture with me now. Sigh...

Hi guys... have not posted for so long... partly because i got SO MANY tests and assignments this week.
Alright, lets see how many assignments i still have outstanding... hmmm.... One chinese powerpoint project, 2 maths performance tasks, 1 history assignment, 1 geography assignment (I handed up yesterday.... great relieve...),1 philosophy essay! And for the tests this week, i have 1 english test on wed, french test on thurs and maths test today! Thats why i am so happy today cause i can finally have a break!
Anyway, i like one maths PT. We are supposed to find one car that's is cheap and low on COE, LTA taxes bkah blah.... Low fuel consumption.... And say why is it the most bank-for-buck car! This is the kind of assignment i like man!

Hey... Posting again... dont feel like spending too much time on this though. Wanna play computer soon :P But just trying to update my blog so it wont be stagnant. So busy during the weekdays.. i dont have time to update :(
But well, I got new shoes! Yes! Plus new socks too! I mean... finally got new pair of shoes, my old one was too tight. This one size 8 but i dont think can last me very long though.
This week of school was fine, the lessons are fun, anyway for PE we did gymnastics. Oh yeah, just for you to know, my class did swimming for the for the first module, TnF (no, not Trim n Fit, its Track n Field) for second module and now its gym. Hey! Posting after such a long time... cause actually this week very busy... Tuesday got NSW mathematics test, Wednesday got Mathematics Topical Assessment, Thursday i reached home at 11.00! Finally today i can reach home earlier than most days...
Nevermind, lets talk about something else. Yes! I have new teachers!I have new.... Science, English, Litertature, Art teachers! Luckily all of them are not too bad though... But i think almost all my teachers say that this semester is going to be very rush... I know... I have started receiving assignments already...
Oh yeah... I have to go back to ATS for a presentation of Raffles Institution.Nigel also have to go back. Then i think Yuhan and Sarah is also going from RGS. I look forward to going back, but not presenting whatsoever to our juniors... Gotta call that Mr Ng to arrange a time too... Sian...
Oh ya... You know last friday was very fun! We had around 2 hours of fun, having free and easy places to go. Cause it was youth day celebration, we were allowed to dress in any clothes we want. And also during that 2 hours, there are many things available to do:
a) Watch a world cup soccer live at that time.
b) Watch a band performance.
c) Watch a yo-yo performance (weird right) by some yo-stick ppl.
d) Watch the movie "Sky High" at one of the LTs. This took up most of leonard, nigel and my time.
e) Watch "Extreme Makeover Rafflesian Edition". The teacher have to transform the students as much as they can. Sound fun right!
f) Pay $2 and join this Xbox 360 FIFA world cup tournament. You play this FIFA world cup game in Xbonx 360s with other participants and the winner gets an Xbox 360 with 2 other Xobx 360 games worth over $800! OMG!
But too bad, i am not the winner. I didnt even participate. Trying to find out who won though.But yeah, that time was real fun. Then on Saturday, I went to SYF competition at the national stadium. But it was quite boring at the first part and VERY HOT there. At the bad thing was the sun was facing us... But anyway i brought lots of food and water to occupy my time. Only the later part where different schools compete for band formations is more interesting, but we reached back at school only at 9.10pm...

Hey homie! Yeah its me... just had piano lesson, damn sian... Still got the chinese books to read, then must do bao gao somemore!! Why cant schools just give us a break?!?! Hey its holidays you know... Futhermore the meaning of holiday is a day when there is no work and you can do whatever you want... Yet teachers give us "holiday homework"... Holiday should not have any work yet they are giving us work to do. Man, "holiday homework" is an oxymoron (erm... did i spell it right? Anyway, whatever, you get what i mean).
Well, the only exception is my Geography and History teachers, who did not give any work at all (they believe holidays are for us to enjoy), and wished us happy holidays (That's more like it! ;) But how to be happy when there's so much work?!?!)
Aiya, just drop the subject. Lets talk about... CARS!!! YES!! No, its about the movie "CARS", or i know you all will get bored. Yeah, i watched it last Saturday with my cousin. Its funny and quite realistic lah, with all the funny animations and crazy jokes. But luckily we stayed back and watched the credits part, and that's when they show what happened to the other characters in the end, and they also make fun of all the previous movies (Toy story, Monster In C, A bug's life etc.) Interesting lah...
Anything else to talk about? Nothing much actually... Last sunday quite boring, cause my parents and grandparents had to attend a wedding dinner, so we didn't celebrate Father's Day. But my sis and i still made him presents though. So we just spend our time watching DVD, playing com, do homework, that's how we pass our holidays. Actually, i love holidays, but definitely NOT holiday homework. Its probably the only thing i dont like about holidays. It will be interesting if we challenge the teachers not to give homework during holidays. Man, it would be a dream come true...

Hey guys, sorry for not posting for such a long time, cos i was on chalet the past few days. Anyway, completed about 80% of my work (hopefully), and the only thing that's holding me back is all those stupid chinese books! Aargh! It's just so hard to read them!
Aiya, nevermind lets talk about the chalet. On the second day, i invited Daniel low, leonard and his brother to go to downtown east escape to play! All of us were 13 years and older except Daniel whose birthday is october, which means that we have to pay the adult fee - $16.50, whereas Daniel only needs to pay the children fee - $8.30! Adult fees are so expensive!
But nevermind, we went on to the rides. Leonard often go for all those thriller rides, leaving the three of us alone. Then we bought one HUGE candy floss. Man, its real big. I think its more than twie the size of anyone's head!
We were about to try the go-kart when someone crashed and the impact sent her go-kart up the bumper and even a few bricks dropped from the bridge! As a result, they had to repair the roads and took a very long time and we decided to give up. So sad... It was almost our turn you know....
We also tried "HAUNTED". Its not a ride, but you must follow a trail and be frightened by the things there. Hey it may surprise you, cos it is indeed QUITE SCARY. Anyway if you want to go in groups, NEVER be the last one, cos there are some of the traps which only scare the last one in the group. I was the last one, and i paid the price. Boohooo.... Cos there are real ppl and of course, fake ones. But both scare you a lot.
Well, in the end we tried the go-kart when the road was repaired. Very fun... How i wish i could try it again...
Tomorrow i am going to watch "cars" with leonard cos my mother won tickets and gave them to me. Yay...

Holidays... nothing much to do... homework and computer all the time. But for higher chinese we must read 4 books k! And some are about chinese history while others are just novels. Boring....
Anyway some people who got nothing better to do poses as me and delwin about... Errr..... Aiya if you so interested you go read yourself lah. Anyway. to amanda, if you happen to read it, its not me and delwin. What's so nice about posing as other people? I never pose as other people before leh (except once when i pose as john... lol... Who plays NFS Most wanted? Who else besides yours truly (which is me!)? I only know rachel also plays it, but anyway very nice game lah. Damn fun... no harm trying.
Btw up till now i also not too sure of when is the class party? I have received so many emails but still dunno when is the real time cause there are so many changes. Oh ya, i will be away from 13th to 15th june cause i also go resort (but in singapore...) I also look forward to the bbq! Yay!
Anyway have not been posting lately causei have nothing to pose about. Holidays mah... Nobody tag sumore, so i take it as no one visit this blog often. Sad...

Yo! Its me again... yeah... finished my french test yesterday. Can you believe it? My Common Test ended in Week 7 and I still have to study for this stupid french test? But anyway thats the bad thing about having third language, however it is still useful at least lah...
Well, anyone happy that the holidays are coming? Holidays is just 3 days away! Yay! Finally can have a nice long break!
Sigh... but got tons of homework and assignments to do... I must like read 4 Chinese books you know! Still got English assignment also! But not so bad as March holidays lah... because now its 1 month and not 1 week. Phew...

Next monday no school! So cool! That's why we are having a long weekend! Yay!
So... today's fine, with all the lessons very funny, like Mother Tongue, Geography, History and Philosophy... er... that's all the lessons we have for today(Yep we only have four periods on friday). Esp Philosophy, the teacher was teaching us limericks when he started telling us jokes and singing us a "dirty" song. Lol... if you get what i mean...
Then when i came home, i practically slept from 2 till 5.Never slept so long as afternoon naps before. Cos very tiring lah...
On tuesday when i was about to take public transport home i realised that my ez-card was faulty. And the bad thing is, Bishan station is not in charge of renewing cards! I have to buy standard cards to board the MRT! You never know how expensive it is! It's like $1.90 without deposit per trip lah! Luckily, on Thursday, after 3rd lang, I went to Sembawang MRT to get my card renewed. Now the new picture in my new ez-link card looks fuzzy though... And I have to take the refund from my old card ($12.80) within 10 days... How troublesome...

Hey YO! Posting again... cause nothing to do lah... damn xian... Anyway, just got back some of my Common Test results, though not telling you what i got.
I managed to argue for 1 mark for my English, and although my Mathematics marks are not recorded, i think it was a waste as i thought i did quite well... Oh well... life's like that...
Well, if i didnt tell you, i skipped 4 out of 6 papers, and most of the papers that i skipped were difficult. I know, because i just retake them for practice...
Oh ya... today we watched 2 movies. One is "the outsiders", which is also our literature book that we are studying now. That movie was in 1983, so its quite old, and i dont think the acting was that good. Nevermind, cause we were watching for the content.
Another movie we watched was I Not Stupid Too, although i just watched it 2 days ago. But i must admit though, that watching movies with your friends are much more fun, cause you laugh together, and also translate all the Chinese and Hokkien parts for some of my indian friends to hear. But I didnt had much trouble explaining, cause they were very fast at picking up the meanings with the subtitles. Ha...
Hai... Today dunno why feeling so tired... Even leonard also say he's tired, i think its because of the anticipation of our results. But in no mood to study haha... Everyone in class also.

Hey! Its me again! Yay! It's a long weekend! Can relax and enjoy!
Anyway, today was my 2.4km run... Haiyo... so tired... but anyway i think i did better than my trial run the other time... Then after that we had philo when the teacher talked about some realistic things some but in an interesting way. Haha.. Then we got back our english, chinese and science CT. I didnt take my chinese and science paper, so i wasnt really affect by this, but anyway i managed to argue for 1 mark with my teacher. Lol...
Nothing really to talk about actually... today wasn't really very exciting... just wanting to keep my blog " not stagnant". Ha..
Yeah... have been saying hahas these few days a lot. Have you watched The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift trailer? If you have not watched it at the beginning of my blog, do so NOW! It is real nice, especially for those who like the fast and the furious series. Oh man, i cant wait to watch the movie! (Though i dont like the actors. I think the cars act better than them. Ha..)

Hey! It's me again. Oh ya, if you ask me why i post again so often, it's not because i have a lot to things to say, it's because jia yu say that my blog will be stale again once i post once, so i wanna prove her wrong. Haha...
Anyway, tomorrow no school! Yipee!The headmaster declare no school! Yay! Can play cause now my exams all over! Well, actually they are over last week... haha
Well, actually nothing really much to say, just too happy cause tomorrow no school... dont need to wake up so early anymore. And today school was so slack! In the morning we watched a rugby match within my school and an overseas international school all the way till recess. Actually we were there so that we could understand and talk to the overseas people, but i dont even think anyone interact with them at all... pretty pointless...
Then, cause i felt a bit too bored, i went to watch the Sec. 4 interclass soccer. The Sec. 1 interclass soccer is over liao, and my class won! Anyway more exciting than the rugby match lah. Then we had a 50-min recess (we so used to 30-min that we did not know what to do with the remaining time)
After our recess, we played some games organized by the year head to release stress just after the CT. We also had some performances which some parts i need my friends to explain to me cause i didnt understand.
The best thing is that to we were released at 12.40 instead of 1.20, We had SO much time that leonard decided to play some stupid "treasure hunt" game and hid my bag and i had to look for it...

Wow... have not been posting since 11 March... Almost 2 months already. Yeah... i have read all your comments, my blog is stagnant like hell.
Well actually its because damn busy this term. I dont like this term. So many tests!
Luckily, now CT over.... sigh... cannot express my relief... Furthermore, next moday, next wednesday and 22 may no school! Can play like no one's business! For those who have not finished their exams yet, my advice is just bear with it, it will be over soon. lol...
Now, playin NFS. If you dont know what it is nevermind lah. Its a very fun game.

Hii.. Finally posting again.. Holidays are here!!! Yay!! Finally finished my theory exam also! Phew! Great Relief!
But still got tons of homework to do leh... But the good thing is There is no school for Term 2 week 1 Monday and Tuesday cause its staff training day! Whee!
And my house won the Track n fields -- Bayley simply rocks! We won so many events! We thrashed the other houses! We were the overall champions for 3 out of levels and the overall champion for TnF!! We left all the other houses in the dust! lol....

Hi.. FINALLY posting after such a long time, cause simply i am so damn busy lor, and got so many tests sumore... sigh...
Got Maths Performance Task, ask you to research why "zero is the most beautiful number". Weird rite? Then still got maths test last monday, yesterday got geography test, next week got history and chinese, French test last week,and still got the stupid english process writing, yet so little time... sigh...
But of course i admit that all these come at a good course when u get back ur results, u will know that ur efforts pay off when u get back good results. Well, not all the time... lol...
Well, anyway, just managed to listen to all JJ's new album cao cao (sounds weird when written in eng). Ya.. took quite some time to finish listening to all the songs.

Hi... finally posting again. You know, I've got 5 assignments to do : History (finally handed it in today), Geography (due 17 feb), Chinese (supposed to compile one WHOLE book on a relevant topic), Mathematics (2nd assignment for this subject), and finally Science which takes up 30% of the CA. ALL assignments are accounted for the CA. So you finally know how busy i am these few days.
But there's nothing much i can really do about it. Sigh... Looks like these few days i will be saying more "sighs" rather than "lol". And On mon, wed and fri i come back home around 7.30, and tues and thurs arounf 5.35. (Yes, i am starting to appreciate days with french now)
Anyway, RI is quite fun lah, the only thing i do not like is: the workload. So many things to do within such a short period of time... yah... Today i finally managed to find the time to post. And actually i came only not just for this, i have more serious work to do.
Dont worry lah, i am just stating the negative side. RI is fun and interesting, with air con classrooms (nothing much actually), guitar for music lessons (for ppl with musical background and teach us nice songs), and 3 swimming lessons every fortnight (that means 3 hrs of swimming every two weeks). And i think all my friends are very nice ppl lah, except a few... ya... only a few...

Hi... finally posting after such a long time... Mainly cause today was an exhausting week. I had 4 tests this week and ALL are accounted for the CA. Do you believe this?
But anyway, despite the tests and the heavy workload, it was finally over. Anyway, yesterday i went to visit mdm ho, then went to cheryn's house. Wow, dunno who gave us the wrong details and we ended up touring the whole bishan! But anyway, we managed to have get there and played basketball (but i dont think that this party is fun. Sigh... mayb only for the girls).
I am really looking forward to tonight as i miss all the delicious food my family's gonna cook! I am also looking forward to the red packets i will be getting, which can amount to around $700!

Hi... its the end of the weekend... and i think that this weekend is the best so far. I think that this week is the most interesting as there are a lot of activities and fun lessons. Oh ya, i have forgotten to tell you about my teachers in RI. I think that RI teachers are the weirdest teachers I've met in my whole entire life (like what i have told some of you).
First of all, i like my teachers cause their lessons are quite fun (other than maybe philosophy when sometimes half the class can sleep) as the teachers would try to make the lessons as interesting as possible (i am not going to say intereseting in what way, but i have told some of you already...)
i am looking forward to next friday when school dismissal is at 9.55, the earliest so far (duh). Unlike in ATS, when i usually reach home around 2, now on a typical day in RI, i reeach home around 7 or 8 (sad case, right?)
Anyway, after school dismissal, some of my friends and i will be going to visit Mdm ho and xxl as wel as ATS in general. It has been quite some time since i have met them. Hope to see you all there too!

Hi... another week in RI... as usual, i am very busy, and i seldom have time to post that often. But because my sis is now in OBS, i can have the com all to myself! Anyway, i also just had french classes, i think they are fun, but the take up a lot of my time though, especially when i live so far away. Sigh... Oh ya! almost forgot about it. Hi... finally posting after such a long time... simply because i am very very very very very very very very very very very very very busy (i would carrying on saying 'very' if i had the time). Well, life in RI is fun... but there's so little time yet so many things to do! Like yeaterday, i reached home around 8.20... sigh... on a typical day i reach home around 5 to 6... friday is the best, school dismisses at 12.40!
I just had my orientation camp last week, a 3 day 2 night stay in the school. I didnt really like the first day cause we need to cheer a lot but i really liked the activities on the 2nd and 3rd day. There were activities like the amazing race (going around Bishan to complete stations) and the war games where you can gang up with your batch mates to fight the PSLs! Overall, i liked the camp very much (though we all lost our voices) and i think its really an opportunity to bond with our classmates.
Anyway, i dont think i will be posting that often cause i am really very busy (i dont think many ppl read my posts anyway) and i already have 2 assignments (or projects) which are accounted for the CA. Sigh...

Hi... its me again. Today is my first day in school, and i think my class not bad after all, and i am in the same class as Wen Wei :) Tomorrow i am going for my orientation camp for 3 days 2 nights, so i am not coming back till friday. But today I was very tired... gotta get some sleep if not tomorrow bueh tah han (cannot take it in hokkien) anymore. Cause last night i did not sleep well, plus today i wake up so early and i didnt sleep in the bus, so thats why i am half dead right now.
